The Mill is a family-owned and operated business deeply rooted in farm, home, pet, garden, lawn, and wild bird care. Founded in 1957 as Reckord Mill, it was later renamed Bel Air Farm Supply by H. Smith Walter. In 1986, Henry Holloway, Smith Walter's grandson, took over, and today, he and his wife, along with three of their four children, own and operate the eight-location agricultural retail business.

Although The Mill is based in Maryland, there is one Pennsylvania location in Red Lion and the delivery team services customers in Delaware, Southern New Jersey, Southern Pennsylvania, Eastern West Virginia, Northern Virginia, and the entire state of Maryland. Three of the locations also cater to the needs of local farmers with seed, fertilizer, chemicals, and custom agronomy application.

More than just a store, The Mill is a community partner, supporting local organizations, events, schools, and individuals. The Mill's mission is to provide unmatched solutions, service, and knowledge to local farm and home communities.
