In partnership with Nutrena’s Ready-to-Lay Program, The Mill is excited to offer Red Stars—a hardy, reliable, and highly productive breed known for their exceptional brown egg production. Red Stars are a cross between a Rhode Island Red rooster and a Delaware hen, resulting in one of the most dependable layers available. They are prized for their consistent performance, adaptability to all climates, and calm temperament—making them ideal for both beginners and experienced poultry keepers.

Pre-Order Details

• Pickup Date: Saturday, January 24th, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

• Pickup Location: The Mill of Bel Air | 424 N Main Street, Bel Air, MD 21014

• Product: Live, full-sized, ready-to-lay Rustic Rock hens

Please note:

• Hens must be picked up during the designated time. Any hens not picked up by 11:00 AM will be subject to resale with no refund.

• Once hens leave our care, customers assume full responsibility for their wellbeing.

• Containment boxes will be provided for safe handling, but customers are responsible for transportation.

Important Flock Care Note
Chickens are flock animals and thrive on companionship. To support their health and happiness, hens should be kept in pairs or small groups. If you’re starting a new flock or adding to an existing one, we strongly recommend purchasing two or more birds.

Communication
Customers will receive a reminder email prior to pickup, followed by another notification on the morning of pickup with detailed instructions.
