University of Maryland Extension and The Mill present a joint Pruning Workshop designed for perennial fruit growers looking to improve yield, fruit quality, and long-term plant health.

This educational program will cover pruning fundamentals for apples, peaches, blueberries, blackberries, and other perennial fruit crops. The workshop begins at The Mill with indoor instruction and concludes with hands-on pruning demonstrations at the University of Maryland Lower Eastern Shore Research and Extension Center (LESREC).

Participants will practice pruning techniques in the field and receive guided instruction and feedback from Extension educators.

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Indoor pruning instruction and demonstrations at The Mill

12:00 – 1:00 PM

Lunch followed by travel to LESREC

1:00 – 2:30 PM

Hands-on blueberry and blackberry pruning at LESREC

Lunch and a pair of hand pruners are included.
