June Breed of the Month: The All American Dog

Arguably the most popular breed in the US today, the All-American Dog is the term loving bestowed upon a dog of mixed origin. These dogs come from a number of different backgrounds and genetics, and usually find their way into our homes from a shelter. All American Dogs can make great companions, working dogs, and sporting dogs, among other things. Trainability and maintenance levels vary depending on the individual dog.

They also come in a multitude of colors and coat types and can be found in a range of sizes. For anyone looking for an All-American dog, we recommend checking out the local shelter and talking to them about what personality traits and grooming requirements would best suit your household to find a good fit.
