When to Feed
- Late Winter (January/February): Pre-bloom application to enhance flowering
- Late Spring (May/June): Post-bloom application to encourage better fruit set
- Fall (September/October): To ensure overall nutrient needs are met
- Never apply to frozen soils
Application Rates by Plant Size
Up to 3 feet: 2 lbs. (6 cups)
3 to 6 feet: 4 lbs. (12 cups)
7 to 9 feet: 6 lbs. (18 cups)
Over 9 feet: 8 lbs. (24 cups)
- Potted Plants: 1 teaspoon per 4 inches of pot diameter; double for pots over 12 inches. Feed every 60 days from late winter through fall
New Plantings
- Mix 1 cup of Citrus-tone into amended soil at planting
- Begin regular feeding schedule after trees have made 6 to 8 inches of new growth
Established Plants
- Apply evenly around the outer edge of tree branches and mix lightly into the soil
- Do not apply within 6 inches of the trunk
- Water thoroughly after each application
