When to Feed

  • Feed twice per year: early spring and late spring, 45 to 60 days after the early spring application
  • Never apply to frozen soils

Application Rates

  • Individual Plants: 1 cup per foot of branch spread; double the quantity if branch spread is 3 feet or larger
  • New Beds: Mix 10 lbs. per 100 sq. ft. and incorporate into the top 4 to 5 inches of soil
  • Established Beds: Apply 5 lbs. per 100 sq. ft.

How to Apply

  • Sprinkle the recommended amount around the drip line and water thoroughly
  • If the area is mulched, either temporarily remove the mulch and feed, or double the rate on top of the mulch
