The Mill has equine specialists available to come to your farm, check your horse's body condition, weigh your horses, evaluate their feeding program, and develop a custom nutritional plan to optimize your horse's health. Farm visits are available for 5 or more horses.

To help ensure your animals are getting the nutrients they need, we offer hay testing services. We offer 2 different testing options: our complimentary hay test is only offered in the fall and our lab analyzed hay test is available year round. Our complimentary hay test will provide a broad overview of the hay to give a baseline in balancing a horse’s diet. Our lab analyzed hay test (available year round, for a fee) offers a detailed analysis of the hay for more fine tuned and specific diet balancing. Performing fecal egg counts on a regular basis and tailoring your deworming program based on these results is the single most important thing you can do to improve your parasite control strategy. Parasites are becoming resistant to current de-worming products. A fecal egg count test will help you treat with the right product or class of dewormer, at the right dose, at the right time, in the right horse.
