For years, Black Horse 4-H Club chose a day in May to sell pit meats and provide activities for customers. As the event grew in popularity, The Mill's "Black Horse 4-H Day" changed to The Mill's "4-H Day." Every store hosts a local 4-H club and members spend the day selling items and talking to the community about the program. Some locations have petting zoos, pony rides, games and bake sales. Contact your nearest location to know what they have planned!
The Mill values the experiences and skills children gain when participating in 4-H. Mill President, Henry Holloway, and Partner Ben Hushon purchase numerous animals at 4-H livestock auctions every year throughout the summer. The Mill also has livestock experts to help 4-Hers develop a nutritional plan for their animals.
