The Mill takes the health of our customers and employees seriously.

We would like to keep you posted on our status regarding the COVID-19 Coronavirus.

The Mill is currently, business as usual.

COVID-19 Update: 6/3/2020:

In complying with the executive order, face coverings are required for all individuals inside The Mill retail locations. We recognize the exceptions in which an individual may not be able to wear a face covering.
Reminder: we continue to offer no-contact shopping options for our customers right here on our website or curbside pick-up service at all Mill locations.

We thank you for your continued business these past few months.

COVID-19 Update: 4/16/2020

Due to the executive orders in Maryland and Pennsylvania, both customers and employees of The Mill must wear a mask. In Maryland this will go into effect on Saturday, April 18th. In Pennsylvania this will go into effect on Sunday, April 19th.

Masks can be any handkerchiefs, bandannas, scarves or fabric coverings made from TShirts, etc. as long as your nose and mouth are covered when in public or within 6 feet of others according to these orders. Here are instructions the CDC recommends for masks:

COVID-19 Update: 3/23/2020

Due to new requirements, we are monitoring and implementing controls to limit the number of people in the store at any time. We are taking these measures to protect the health of our employees, customers and communities. In order to continue providing for your needs we are asking the following:
Limit of 5 customers in the store at a time.
Please have 1 person per family to enter - bringing your children in the store and browsing prevents us from being able to supply another customer.
Please refrain from bringing your pets in the stores.  We love your pets, but until things get back to normal, it would be best to not bring them in.
Respect people's space - keep 6 feet from our employees as well as other customers. You do not need to sign the credit card machine to complete the transaction now. Distance yourself from others to cough or sneeze and thoroughly cover.
Refrain from browsing.  Know what you are looking for and if you need help finding it, ask an associate.
By taking these precautions, you can help keep our employees healthy, our business open and farmers receiving the products they need to keep food going to the grocery stores!
Stay safe and stay well!
All Mill locations are considered an essential business and are currently operating normally with regular business hours and delivery schedules. We plan to continue unless told otherwise from the MD or PA Departments of Agriculture or Governor's offices.
Chicks are arriving weekly, first served except the pre-ordered chicks at The Mill of Kingstown. Chicks are selling quickly. If you wish to purchase chicks and have them brought to your car, we can do that, however, you will need to be in the parking lot to accept the chicks when we ring up the transaction, we cannot hold them for you to arrive. Click here for the Chick Schedule.
It is imperative that customers coming into the store practice social distancing - 6 ft from other people. Please stay a healthy distance from the counter to help protect our employees and do not stand close to others in line waiting to check out. We need to enforce this if we are to allow our doors to remain open to customers and to protect the health of all.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation!

Covid-19 Update: 3/18/2020

The Mill is now offering curb-side service for those interested. Just call the store to place your order, call when you arrive, and an associate will bring your receipt and product to you.

We are operating as normal and have no notice of a disruption of feed supplies.

Covid-19 Update: 3/16/2020

We are monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation closely and are working to ensure we meet the needs and concerns of our customers as well as provide for the health and safety of our employees. We realize this health situation has already been disruptive to many businesses across the globe and wanted to share facts about what we’re doing to support both our customers and employees. The safety and well-being of our employees and customers is our highest priority.

The Mill’s response today:

We will be continuing to operate our retail stores, delivery services and crop services as normal.

We have not received any information from our suppliers that there will be shortages of products we sell or disruptions in transportation. Although some vendors have temporarily changed their operations in response to Covid-19, essential personnel are still manufacturing feed and sending product out to distributors.

Store Operations:

Stores are open their normal business hours. If a need arises to change our schedule of operations, it will be posted on the website. Steps we are taking to minimize health risks include:

      • Employees have been instructed to stay at home if they do not feel well.

•. Front counters, credit card machines and computers are being disinfected hourly.

•. Public bathrooms and door handles are disinfected throughout day.

•. Employees are wiping down shelves and products as often as possible and are asked to wash their hands often and to use hand sanitizer.

An Alternative: Stay Safe – Shop Online – WE DELIVER!

Many products are loaded on our online store. If a product you are interested in is not on our website, call the store you usually do business with to place an order. There is a minimum of $50 order (before tax and delivery) for $9.00 delivery fee within our delivery areas. We will do our best to deliver within 3 days, however, we are experiencing an increase in home and farm deliveries, so place your orders as soon as you can so we can be as efficient as possible in getting product to our customers. We appreciate your patience.

Stuck at Home?

Now is a great time to get your yard, beds and garden ready! We can deliver your grass seed, fertilizer and weed control products right to your door. You can add vegetable seeds, seed starting supplies to your home delivery to start your own garden of fresh vegetables. Children home from school can learn about growing vegetables and help you start them. We even have cold tolerant flowers like pansies and primroses to start your beds while you wait for things to return to normal.
