Cascadia is a newer snap pea variety that has some disease resistance. Vines grow shorter (24-30" tall) with a tangled habit and do not need staking, although support is beneficial. They prefer cool weather, but can tolerate some heat. Dark green pods grow 2-3 inches long with thick walled pods that are juicy and crisp. Pods contain 6-9 peas of superb quality for fresh eating, freezing, canning or cooking.
